Nevertheless, Ravedeath made me truly appreciate the idea of music itself far more than I ever had before. Ravedeath, 1972 (Honestly, these top two records are interchangeable for me, as my opinion routinely changes. Obviously if you're promoting a film or book or something you'll give a heads up prior to get the most amount of viewers. I can do one right now about my time working for NBC and Tim/Eric can do one right now about themselves. Never in my life had an album made me tear up, but that quickly changed when I listened to this masterpiece) But anybody can do an AMA anytime they want. Harmony in Ultraviolet (When I heard this record for the first time, I knew Tim was a one of a kind musician. Way ahead of it's time, just as Haunt Me was) There's just something about the way it pulls me into the hot, dry summer environment every time I put it on that I love. Radio Amor (By far his most under-appreciated album. Was blown away the first time I heard it) Virgins (This is a record that is best listened to on a very high volume. Contains some of his most atmospheric tracks) Haunt Me (The record that introduced me to his music and perhaps his most minimal album. Konoyo (In my opinion his most difficult listen, though it gets better with each and every listen. Mirages (again, still a great album, but didn't really bring anything new to the table like most of his work does)Īn Imaginary Country (Contains some of Tim's most powerful tracks, was a nice change of pace) Love Streams (Really admire the change in direction he took with this record, though there are a handful of sub par tracks) Note, I'm only including his full length solo efforts, so no Instrumental Tourist or Fantasma Parastasie here. I don't consider any one of Hecker's releases to be even remotely bad, so this list was incredibly difficult to make. I've recently finished the entirety of the Tim Hecker solo discography and can honestly say it's some of the most powerful music I have ever heard in my entire life.
